One of the fields in a highschool graduation cost form. I believe that for my own graduation (1997), the fee was near 35 dollars. However, much earlier, in Grade Nine, much fun was had with "incredibly creative" interpretation of the fee. James and I had postulated that the fee was what had to be paid if one was to be able to wear a gown throughout the year, as in a license. Conversely, to avoid being forcibly dressed in a gown, one might consider paying the gown fee, as in extortion. A less popular idea was that it was the fee paid by a gown, yet that was scrapped, as it was considered ridiculous.
