Record producer, employed at EMI
in the 50s and 60s.
Trained a classical oboist, Martin brought his skills as an arranger,
and a typically British musical ideal, to light music.
Having created such memorable recordings as the Highway Code sung by
the King's Singers, he went on to produce, with The Beatles, some
of the most beautiful music ever made.
You can observe his influence by comparing Beatle covers,
such as You really got a hold on me, to the American originals.
