Freemarker is a
template library for
Java. It is
open source and
free. Unlike
JSP it can be used to process templates outside of the
servlet environment, thus making it an ideal tool for platform and technology-independent implementations of various projects.
Freemarker templates support a simple scripting language and are highly extensible.
