Bancroft Avenue is a one-way street that denotes the south boundary of the University of California, Berkeley. Being so close to Cal, and by virtue of intersecting with Telegraph Avenue, it is home to many a strange sight.

• Hare Krishnas, who dance around you and offer you pamphlets
• Sales representatives trying to give away season tickets to California Warriors games (and, after two months, still not succeeding)
• The ocassional anti-something or other protest
• The "God Bless You" guy, who will offer you blessings and words of encouragement whether you give him money or not
• The "It'll Come Back To Ya" guy, who sits a few blocks down from the "God Bless You" guy and attempts to mitigate the effects of any good karma the latter tried to impart
