El Chapulin Colorado ("The Red Grasshopper") is a middle-aged man in red tights and sneakers, yellow trunks, and springy antennae with pom-poms on the ends who entertains children with his crazy antics on the Mexican kid's show Chespirito.

He is also the direct inspiration for the wacky Mexican television personality in the bee suit on The Simpsons, whom I am told is actually named "Chespirito".
