Early spring evening
not in a particular hurry
not warm enough for sandals,
nor cold enough for a jacket

Early spring dusk
sunset melting behind row houses
streetlights sputtering to life
almost there

Early spring night
Nocturnal teenagers with new licenses
pushing limits, stretching their legs
As newborn crickets do the same
