A derogatory term for any pinball that is of sufficiently poor design that it is way too easy for the ball to drain during play. While a pinball should not make it easy for any player to keep the ball active for long amounts of time, it should be possible for a good player to decrease the chance of the ball entering the outlane or going straight down the middle.

A game that is recognized as a drain-o-matic game will suffer badly, as few people will play it, as it becomes very discouraging very quickly.
