Online newsletter edited by Gordon Meyer and Jim Thomas, prof. of criminal justice at the Northern Illinois University. Cu-D had the broad goal of providing a forum for discussion and debate of the computer telecommunications culture. Originally started at usenet, and in 1990 they issued a digest after a massive interest during the "hacker crackdowns" and federal indictments of Len Rose and Craig Neidorf of PHRACK. They did not intend to continue publishing, but due to the amount of material, the digest continued with weekly issues until october 1999. It is still published at random monthly intervals.

In its main active years, Cu-D covered legal, ethical and technical issues, censorship issues, politics, hacker culture and other issues of interest to the computer community.
