In an attempt to create a better image for itself, idealab! venture capital division changed its name to Clearstone Venture Partners just recently. Given idealab!'s success record of failed dot-coms, Clearstone hopes this change will remove the stigma that was created by idealab!. IMHO, "once an FC, always an FC."
