I've just returned from a Chinese/American wedding. This was the second time that I've actually seen these wedding games in real life.

Here are a couple that were demonstrated:

• Bride takes a hard-boiled egg that has been kept in ice water for hours. She delicately manuevers the egg up one pant-leg of the grooms pants, across the crotch area and then down the other pant leg.
• Groom is blindfolded. He eats a string of cherries that is dangling around the bride's boobs. Others in the wedding party moves the string around so that it's more difficult for him.

How come these weird rituals are performed by such a reserved demographic? I'm Asian myself. Could it be that the more reserved (maybe repressed) the culture, the more outrageous the expression?
