A 1970s graffito found in greasy spoons and railway station canteen bathrooms. Somebody can probably add an insightful writeup into how this piece of satire demonstrates the fine line that middle-class pseudo-radicals walk, but I think it, like all good slogans, speaks for itself.
"'Money maketh man a Tory,' Don't fire that assumption at me-- I like toast as much as anyone But not for breakfast, dinner, and tea."
I have to admit I had no idea why a socialist such as ol' Billy would rant about toast, so thanks fondue!
