The Big Ten Conference of NCAA Division I is comprised of the following schools:

• University of Illinois
• University of Indiana
• University of Iowa
• University of Michigan
• Michigan State University
• University of Minnesota
• Northwestern University
• Ohio State University
• Penn State University
• Purdue University
• University of Wisconsin

Yes there are 11 schools in the Big Ten. They added one team (Penn State) a few years back and decided not to change the name.
