AirCare is a government initiative to improve the air quality in British Columbia. All cars' exhaust are inspected annually and must meet or exceed a standard of clean emissions. Cars that fail are given a short grace period in which to conduct repairs, and if they fail again, cannot renew their mandatory auto insurance with ICBC.
