The ACM Computing Classification System

A classification scheme for computer literature (and particularly scholarly works) put out by the ACM and used in the journals in their digital library. It has all the usual problems of classification schemes, it's incomplete, makes western assumptions and is has trouble classifying `trendy' topics.

The definitive URL for the scheme is: http://www.acm.org/class/1998/.
