A funny note about this song: Often, when (American) people sing this song, after the line "ve nispor tziporim nodedot", they will add the words "Yes, they do!". For the longest time, I didn't understand why they said that. What does "yes they do" have to do with migrating birds? It turns out that if you don't understand Hebrew and therefore parse that line incorrectly, the last word sounds like "No, they don't." |
