Fernando Sorrentino (born November 8th, 1942) is an Argentinian author. His work has been translated into 13 languages and includes 6 short story collections, a novella and books of interviews with Jorge Luis Borges and Adolfo Bioy Casares.

Several of his stories are available online and I thoroughly recommend them. Baffling, surreal, funny and often oddly thought-provoking, they recall Borges and Kafka but have a lighter touch; a gentler humour and humanity.
