Three Summers Gone is a mixed-tempo, technical (math rock?), post-melodic hardcore from San Francisco, with roots from South Carolina. Three Summers Gone is Dan (guitar), Kyle (drums), Lamar (guitar), and Chris (vocals/bass).
Three Summers Gone originally formed from the band Blue In The Face in South Carolina. After all the members traveled out from South Carolina towards the West Coast, and eventually ended up in San Francisco, Three Summers Gone transfromed from a skate punk band to a complex and emotionally-charged post-punk/post-hardcore, drawing its influences from old and new school bands like the Descendents, Hot Water Music, Samiam, Jawbreaker, and Lifetime. Three Summers Gone recorded a full-length on Substandard Records in 2000, and released "Time Well Spent" in 2001. Some of the band members also play in other Bay Area bands - Half Moon Bay's Under A Dying Sun and San Francisco's Box the Compass.
