n., computer science. A freely distributed CGI script created by Noah Grey designed to facilitate the publishing of a
weblog or
web journal. Barely a year old, it has an installed userbase of over 1,000 as of April 2001. Once installed, it provides a web-based interface for posting weblog entries much like
Blogger.Com and
Pitas.Com, but the script allows users to publish independently of a remote, often overloaded, server. Advanced features include built-in search, inline comments, and "Karma" entry rankings.
