Fort Drum, formerly Camp Drum and Camp Pine has a history that dates back as far as 1908. Fort Drum

NY, home to the
10th Mountain Division. The base comprises mainly of Light
Infantry battalions, and necessary support battalions as well. The physical base is divided into the "New Post" and the "Old Post". The new post is where the majority of the batallions, equipment, and facilities are and has mostly brick structures. The old post, which contains buildings that date back pre-World War II, is often used by the
reserves and other military organizations, such as
Civil Air Patrol for their activities.
