You haven´t at any time thought things about your computer like: "Today I will change the name of my Recycle Bin" or "My Start Menu is going to slow, lets change it" I suppose?
Well if you have, here´s your guide. And if you haven´t, think of it, because here it comes. Remember to make a safety copy of your Registry and check out this node all the time, because it´s going to be updated often

Change name of Recycle Bin:
1. Start the Registry Editor (Start Menu, Run, regedit)
2. Choose HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT then CLSID
3. Choose {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} 4. There´s a "Default" that probably say "Recycle Bin"
5. Doubleclick this and write your new Recycle Bin name like "Thrash" or something

Fasten Up Start Menu:
1. Start Registry Editor (See Above)
2. Expand HKEY_CURRENT_USER then Control Panel
3. Click Desktop without expanding it
4. Look for a value named MenuShowDelay, if there isn´t any...
5..Choose New-String value on the Edit menu and name it MenuShowDelay.
6. Give this a value between 0-10 where 5 is 5 milliseconds

Make a Shortcut to your desktop on your Start Menu:
1. Right-click and choose: New, then Shortcut
2. Write "EXPLORER \ROOT,"
3. Press Next and write Desktop
4. Press Finish
5. Drag the Shortcut to your Start Menu

Remove Programs That Have Been left in the Add/Remove Program Box:
1. Start your Registry Editor
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
3. Choose the Folder with the name of the program you want to remove 4. If there is a lot of numbers and digits, press them and look for a string called DisplayName. There the program name should be
5. To remove it from the box, simply delete the folder with the DisplayName Folder

Enable Icon preview of bitmaps:
1. Start your Registry
2. Go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and then Paint.Picture
3. Look for a folder named DefaultIcon
4. Change it to "%1"

Add a Program to Send To-Menu:
1. Start C:\Windows\SendTo
2. Add a shortcut to the program you want
3. If you want to send to your desktop...
4..Use the tutorial above for a shortcut to the desktop
5. Add it to C:\Windows\SendTo

Make buttons for Shutdown and Restart on your Desktop
1. Right-click and choose New-Shortcut
2. Write "rundll.exe user.exe,exitwindows" for shutdown
3. Write "rundll.exe user.exe,exitwindowsexec" for restart
4. Press Continue and then Finish

Here follows a few tips for speeding up your computer:

Some applications include a file with an extension of .REG. These files are used during installation to set up the Registry settings the applications need. Handle these files with care. If you double-click on a file with the extension of .REG, Regedit will read the contents of that file and merge its data into your Registry. If the same keys already exist in the Registry, the new contents will replace them. To read a .REG file, use Notepad or another editor and see what it changes before you merge it into your Registry.
