New Orleans Dry Martini (thing)

Ingredients:

• 4 measures gin
• 2 - 3 drops Pernod
• 1 measure dry vermouth
• 5 -6 ice cubes

Preparation:

Put the ice cubes into a mixing glass, then pour the Pernod over them. Pour in the vermouth and the gin, then stir vigorously (take care not to spill any of the nectar). Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
