John Coltrane album made in
1958. Trane had wandered away from
Miles Davis to stay with the
Thelonious Monk quartet for six months when he released this album. Trane recruited pianist
Red Garland, bassist
Paul Chambers and drummer
Art Taylor and set off focusing on some classic
Jazz standards.
