House in the hamlet of Boleskine

on the eastern shore of Loch Ness

From 1900 to 1918 Boleskine House was the home of Aleister Crowley
, the self-styled "Great Beast" of black magic
. Crowley bought the house in order to start the work called "The Abramelin Working"
in which the magician purport to create a Knowledge and Conversation with the Higher Self
, or the Holy Guardian Angel
In 1973 an act of exorcism
was performed in order to rid the house of evil spirit
s. Since then it has had several owners, including Jimmy Page
of Led Zeppelin
, whose daughter tragically died at the house.
A later owner shot himself.
