Drummer and singer for
Queen, and a university mate of
Brian May and
Freddie Mercury.
It wasn't until late in Queen's career that Taylor's songs started being released as singles, including "A Kind of Magic" and "Calling All Girls." He's also the one who wrote "I'm in Love with My Car."
Also led a band called The Cross in the late '80s. Apparently a fan of science fiction, Taylor used pulp mags as the theme for his solo album Fun in Space.
