Bespectacled
guitarist of popular
punk rock band The Offspring. Born Kevin Wasserman on February 4, 1963 in
Los Angeles,
California, Noodles received his
nickname because of his habit of constantly "
noodling" on the
guitar. His affinity for the
Dickies and the
Sex Pistols drew Noodles towards the position of
guitarist for various teenage
punk bands in his
Orange County,
California area. After playing in a band, the
Clowns of Death, with future Offspring singer
Dexter Holland, the two formed their own band in the mid-1980s with Holland on
vocals, Noodles on
guitar,
Greg K on
bass and, eventually,
Ron Welty on
drums.
Noodles currently resides in Santa Ana, California with wife Jackie and daughter Chelsea. His hobbies include snowboarding, surfing, and collecting hats.
