Lorillard Tobacco Company is the fourth largest manufacturer of cigarettes in the United States. They are now owned by Loews corporation. Their current market share is approximately 8%. Lorillard's flagship Newport brand cigarettes are currently the third most popular brand behind only Marlboro and Doral. Newport is the fastest growing brand in the market.

Lorillard is a part of the Master Settlement Agreement between the states and the Big Tobacco companies.

Lorillard received a lot of criticism several years ago for promoting its Newport menthol cigarettes on inner-city billboards. It was asserted that their marketing was aimed exclusively at poor African-Americans.

Brands produced by Lorillard include: Kent, Maverick, Max, Newport, Old Gold, Satin, Triumph, and True.
