lay in Jena,
East Germany. The
HQ today is in
San Francisco. Intershop was
one of the first creators of
e-commerce applications.
Until 1999 they
deliviered
out-of-the-box solutions to create own Internetshops.
In 1999 they changed their
focus and developed "Enfinity" - a tool for
large-scaled Business-to-Business
Portals.
Whilst being one of the pioneers of the
e-business hype Intershop was
not able to realize any
profit in the last 7 years.
