As well as the cranial nerves (see Oh, oh, oh to touch and feel virgin girls vaginas and hymens) there are many other mnemonics used by medics, anatomy students, etc to help learn the seemingly never-ending amount of information about the body. And because its anatomy, the dirtier the better! Here are a few of my faves, which I am sure other people have variations of:

The carpal bones of the hand going clockwise round in the anatomical position starting with the scaphoid bone, found in the anatomical snuffbox. (The anatomical snuffbox, weird name no? I think it is named so because, in the days of snuff sniffing, people used to put the snuff there to sniff from, but seems a daft place to sniff snuff from to me. If you abduct your thumb as far as it will go, the anatomical snuff is the triangle dip formed below the thumb on the back of the hand just above the wrist. If you’re bothered, its borders are formed by the tendons of Extensor Policis Longus, ulnar side, and Extensor Policis Brevis and Abductor Policis Longus, radial side. It is important medically as it contains the scaphoid bone and the radial artery. But am seriously deviating from the subject here. Right, back to carpal bones.)
