Vietnamese is a mixture of Austro-Asiatic languages sharing many similarities with
Mon-Khmer, Thai and Muong languages.
Official language of Vietnam. Previously
using Chinese characters (in Chữ nho
and Chữ nôm forms), Vietnamese now uses
Roman characters known as Quốc ngữ.
