The
Central League (commonly shortened to se riigu) is one of two leagues in
Japanese Professional Baseball. It is the most popular league among
Japanese because it has all of the "big" teams. The other league is the
Pacific League. At the end of the season, the winner of the
Central League goes on to play the winner of the
Pacific League in the
Japan Series.
