The thing about Woodstock, and the Woodstock Nation, is that they weren't self-conscious about it. They just did it!

One of their legacies, is that we are aware of our future. Whether we think of it as nothing--say, the end of history--or whether we make it--some among us with a mission, or a destiny.

Theirs was the first generation which, because of its size, and the available technology, could be documented.

It was the first generation to watch not only its possessions become artifacts, but its language, and its ideals.

How easy it is to ridicule an artifact?
