Located between 17th and 14th streets, and between University Place and Park Avenue, in New York City, Union Square Park is a small, pleasant park often teeming with activity. Children are a common sight, playing in one of the two playgrounds, while on the southern side, the wide steps house teenagers, skateboarders, an occasional street performer and anybody who just wants to site and do some good people-watching.

Conveniently, Union Square Park is above the large 14th St/Union Square subway stop, which has the N, R, 4, 5, 6 and L trains. Bordering Union Square are Barnes & Noble, Virgin Megastores, the Wiz, and a variety of restaurants and smaller shops.
