Song two on the rare, Sept '97 release (only 500 pressed on vinyl) by Badly
Drawn Boy: Titled "EP1".
Frustratingly, I've not been able to get my hands on the Ep, but did find two
versions (the EP version and a better, live performance) on MP3.
It's a nice, soft, ballad style song played with a single,
acoustic guitar. It is wonderful.
You might walk all over me in violet shoes
While I shake the rollercoaster morning blues
I can’t get satisfied by being satisfied
I opened up my mind to find it wasn't mine
Then I look for someone else
I could find no-one else
...like you
Do do do
And when I needed something wasn't there
And then I pleaded on the silent share
Only when it suits I can be on the side
You called me up what's in my song
Without a smile
Then I look for someone else
I could find no-one else
...like you
Do do do
I found the lyrics for this song posted on their nicely quirky website at: http://www.badlydrawnboy.co.uk/.
There are quiet a few other interesting tidbits here as well.
