Born: May 6th, 1964. Los Angeles. Has lived in New York City for the last ten years, in London, England, and also California in the following cities: San Francisco, Long Beach, and Huntington Beach.

Alexander Laurence is a writer who is based in New York City. He has interviewed over 100 novelists, and bands, many of these interviews are accessible through the Internet. His book reviews have appeared in The Review of Contemporary Fiction, Rain Taxi, American Book Review, East Bay Express, LA Reader, Bay Guardian, and American Book Jam. He has been the editor of Cups magazine since 1993.

He is currently an editor of the new international culture magazine, Daily Life, as well as being one of the founding members of Free Williamsburg.
