British manufacturer of premium mint chocolates. Founded in 1930 by Messrs Benson and Dickson, Bendicks is best known for their "Mint Collection", a boxed assortment of luxury mint chocolates, and their unique "bittermint". The bittermint is a large medallion of strong peppermint fondant (quite reminiscent of Kendal Mint Cake), coated with 95% cocoa solids chocolate.
The company was granted a
Royal Warrant in 1962, and ever since then the
gold warrant has been displayed prominently on all of Bendicks' distinctive dark green packaging.
