A legendary cult band from the influential New York City no wave scene of the late 70s/early 80s. The first band led by notorious avant-rock chanteuse Lydia Lunch, Teenage Jesus and the Jerks blasted out potent ultra-abrasive rock for short attention spans.

Since their songs usually maxed out between 30 seconds and two minutes, the Jerks were infamous for playing very short sets with a tremendous punch. Normally, their sets lasted for no more than ten minutes. If you want to check them out, locate "Everything," a CD compilation of their work from Atavistic.
