The concept that since corporations have many of the rights and responsibilities of people (own property, file lawsuits, pay taxes), then capital punishment should be extended to corporations as well. Simply revoke the charter of a corporation, and it ceases to exist -- it has been put to death.

There is a growing number of consumer-advocacy groups that are pushing for this method of punishing corporate offenses against citizens. If a person can be executed for killing a single human, why not a corporation that is almost directly responsible for the deaths/injuries of thousands of people per year (ie, the tobacco industry and big polluters)? Why not a corporation responsible for the "murders" (due to anticompetive practices, ie MS) of competing corporations?
