Yes, that Oasis. That lame Beatles-wannabe band with the two brothers that are always bitching and the dumb corny pop songs.
They have made one of the best
rock songs that I've heard in a long time.
The song is basically one long guitar/drum solo, with no singing. It starts with a boisterous drum intro, and after the first man stops yelling, the blistering guitar lick comes in.
The spoken word parts are taken from the movie "Message to Love - The Isle of Wight Festival". The film documents Great Britain's answer to Woodstock: the 1970 Isle of Wight festival, featuring The Who, The Doors, Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell, Jimi Hendrix, Jethro Tull, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, Tiny Tim, The Moody Blues, Kris Kristofferson, Miles Davis, and Donovan. (For Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix, it was one of the last festivals that they performed before their deaths.)
Evidently, the concert was ineptly organized, leading to some of the conflicts alluded to in the song. I haven't seen this movie, so I don't exactly know what's happening in these quotes.
