The California I-405 actually begins when it splits from the I-5 at the north end of the
San Fernando Valley and stretches to the city of
Irvine where it rejoins the I-5 once more. It is the most heavily travelled freeway in the
United States, with more traffic on it at 2AM than on all the major freeways going through
Little Rock, Arkansas during rush hour.
