D-A-D, also known as Disneyland After Dark, D.A.D or D:A:D, is a Danish band playing mostly rock and progressive music. They released their first single in 1985, followed by more singles and EPs. Eventually they signed a contract with Warner Bros. in 1989, and has overall given out 8 albums, 2 live recordings, 3 compilations, 7 EPs, 14 singles and 3 soundtracks. Although there are many unofficial fan sites online, D-A-D's truly official website is at this location:

The ever-changing name

D-A-D has changed their name numerous times, each time for a different reason. In 1989, when they signed a contract with Warner Bros., Disney pressed charges and claimed exclusive rights to the name "Disneyland". They were bound to lose the trial and hence changed their name.
<1989> *** Disneyland After Dark is now known as D.A.D
Six years later, by inspiration from a fan letter received in 1995 by some boys attending the same school in Copenhagen that Stig attended to when growing up, D.A.D decided to change the band name again - now replacing the dots with colons.
<1995> *** D.A.D is now known as D:A:D
In the (good) year of 2000, D:A:D found that the name was not Internet friendly enough. Their website address had been www.d-a-d.dk since 1997, so they ultimately changed their name - again.
<2000> *** D:A:D is now known as D-A-D
<2000> *** Server notice: now stick with that name, damnit!
