Famous
professor of
education at the
University
of
Queensland in
Brisbane. He wrote a book
called How to
Study which contained good
advice
like "study
consistently throughout the
semester".
However no
student is ever known to have followed
this advice.
He has been immortalised in the name of the street
leading to the University. Many drunk students
stagger back to college late at night along
this street from the Royal Exchange hotel.
Also there is a theatre in St Lucia named after him
which shows art and foreign films and also Hollywood
stuff, though much later than mainstream cinemas.
OTOH it's still only $A4.90 for UQ students.
