Thomasi is a small market town in Malawi, home to Chiradzulu Secondary School and also (some might argue more importantly) to Ummu's Restaurant. Thomasi is pronounced "Thomas" and sometimes written "Thomas'," because the final i is almost silent in Chichewa.

Thomasi is situated on a plateau near the foot of Chiradzulu Mountain. John Chilembwe, the national revolutionary leader whose face is printed on the Malawian kwacha, is reported to have been born very close to the town, and he later led an uprising against colonial rule in the area.
