Quetiapine (brand name Seroquel) is an atypical antipsychotic drug developed by Zeneca with the chemical formula C42H50N6O4S2. It is classed as a dibenzothiazepine and used in the treatment of schizophrenia. The daily dosage range is between 300 and 450 mg, split into 2 doses.

Quetiapine has a greater affinity for 5-HT2 receptors than D2 receptors, which is thought to be the reason for the drug causing less extrapyramidal symptoms. Somnolence is the most common side effect.
