Jack Roush (born April 19, 1942) is an automotive engineer, the owner of Roush Enterprises, and the co-owner of Roush Fenway Racing (with John Henry, owner of the Boston Red Sox). Roush is known for his signature Panama hat.
Roush earned a bachelors degree in physics from Berea College, and a masters in Scientific Mathematics from Eastern Michigan University. He accepted a position with the Ford Motor Company after graduating in 1966.
In 1970 Roush left Ford to form Roush Enterprises.

Roush Racing: Develops vehicles for the
Roush Fenway NASCAR team.
Roush Industries: Independent automotive engineering services.
Roush Performance: Produces performance parts, crate
engines, and modified Ford vehicles.
Roush is an
aviation enthusiast and in 2002 he almost died when the
light aircraft he was piloting crashed into a lake.
Currently Roush divides his time between Roush Enterprises headquarters in
Livonia, MI and Roush Fenway headquarters in
Concord, NC.
