Avocets usually live in swamps and marshes. They feed on crustaceans and snails. There are four different species of Avocets: one in Asia and Africa, one in North America, one in Australia, and one in South America. The North American Avocet is white with black wings.
They build their nests in the swamps and lay cinnamon colored eggs.
