Sugar Cookies

(From the Kitchen of Grandma Erwin)

  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 5 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • a little bit of milk

  1. combine above ingredients
  2. chill for 2 hours
  3. roll out dough and cut shapes
  4. bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
