Alberio is a binary star in the constellation cygnus. To find alberio look for a bright star in the northern sky that seems to make a cross with about eight other stars. Alberio is the bottom of the vertical cross piece. It is one of the most beautiful double stars in the sky. One of the stars in this system is an orangey yellow color and the other is very blue. This stark color contrast makes it beautiful to look at. If the two star's do orbit each other their orbital period is somewhere around 7300 years.
