A former con man, called the greatest check swindler of the twentieth century by many. Author of the book Catch Me If You Can. He was caught in his early twenties and did six months in a French prison (the lowest circle of hell, read the book, it's bad), six months in a Swedish jail (a supervised country club), and finally some time in America. He was then hired by the FBI and has worked for their financial crimes division and been the head of their forgery and secure documents division for over twenty years. He also founded the Secure Documents Corporation, based in New York.

A former Houston police chief once said of him "Frank Abagnale could write a check on toilet paper, drawn on the Confederate States Treasury, sign it U.R. Hooked and cash it in any bank in town with a Hong Kong Driver's license for identification."
