A staggering muscial group fronted by the androgynous Antony, and brought to a wider audience by David Tibet of Current 93. They combine elements of ballads, spirituals, classical music and cabaret burlesque (and more) into wonderfully haunting songs such as 'Cripple and the Starfish', 'Rapture' and 'Blue Angel', all found on their eponymous debut album. They also have a split single with Current 93 and a newer single of their own, 'I Fell In Love WIth A Dead Boy', all available through World Serpent. They also perform a very nice hymn to Divine. Isn't that recommendation enough?
