A grocery store specializing in food from Asia. This is predominately Chinese in most cases, but also can be Japaese, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian, and/or Korean.

A great place to get sauces and condiments for all Asian cooking, as well as what to Westerners are exotic rices, dried fish, snack foods, and canned meat analogues and canned vegetables.

Usually the prices are considerably cheaper than regular groceries or gourmet food stores for such food, and the quality is usually better. This tends to be where the people of Asian birth or descent shop for their own food.

Around my house, the Asian Food Centers in Edison, New Jersey and North Plainfield, New Jersey seem to be the biggest and best in terms of selection and quality.
